Tyler Boyd Hauls In Five Catches In Sunday's Big Game
3 years agoCincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd tied for the team lead with five catches, but he had an underwhelming 48 yards on his six targets in the 23-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI on Sunday. The performance was Boyd's best of the postseason, but like all season, he was overshadowed by young pass-catchers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Due to the emergence of Chase and Higgins in 2021, Boyd had his least productive season since 2017, catching 67 of 94 targets for 828 yards and five touchdowns in 16 regular season games. The 27-year-old will likely continue to be mostly an underneath weapon for quarterback Joe Burrow as the third wideout in 2022, leaving him with a lowered fantasy ceiling and floor.
