Miles Boykin Could Be Cut This Offseason
3 years agoBaltimore Ravens wide receiver Miles Boykin is a cut candidate this offseason. He has a salary cap number of $2.75 million in 2022, and the Ravens would save $2.54 million against the cap if they were to cut him. The third-round pick in 2019 has been a disappointment and is coming off an injury plagued season in which he caught only one pass for six yards in eight games. The Ravens have plenty of receivers ahead of him, so it doesn't really make a ton of sense to pay $2.75 million for a special teams player. Baltimore doesn't often move on from Day 2 draft picks while they're on their rookie deals, but it's likely that they will either cut or trade Boykin this offseason. Other cap casualties include tight ends Nick Boyle and Josh Oliver, offensive tackles Ja'Wuan James and Alejandro Villanueva, cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Tavon Young, guard Ben Powers and defensive tackle Derek Wolfe.
