3 years agoThe Minnesota Vikings officially named former Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O'Connell as their 10th head coach in franchise history on Wednesday. O'Connell was the Rams offensive coordinator the last two seasons and led them to a win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI. The Rams finished ninth in total offense (372.1 yards per game) in 2021, and they also ranked second in plays of 50-plus yards (10), fourth in yards per play (5.98) and eighth in offensive touchdowns (51). Both quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Cooper Kupp had career-years under O'Connell in 2021, so the Vikings will be hoping he can also elevate Kirk Cousins in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
