Doug Pederson To Call Offensive Plays For Jaguars
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars new head coach Doug Pederson said that he will call offensive plays in 2022, while also surrounding quarterback Trevor Lawrence with a support system in his second NFL season. Pederson got the most out of Carson Wentz in his time with the Philadelphia Eagles and won a Super Bowl with Nick Foles as his starting quarterback, so the Jaguars are hoping that Pederson will come in and improve the offense while also developing last year's No. 1 overall pick after a rough rookie season. Lawrence completed 59.6% of his pass attempts for 3,641 yards, 12 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in 2021. Offensive coordinator Press Taylor, the brother of Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor, will also work closely with Lawrence next season.
