Travis Etienne Jr. Continues To Make Progress
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. (foot), who missed all of his rookie season after suffering a Lisfranc injury in the preseason, continues to make progress. The first-round pick could have an even bigger role in 2022, too, after James Robinson tore his Achilles late in the 2021 season. Etienne told Darien Rencher on The Players Podcast recently that he's running and has resumed working out in the gym. "My foot is doing much better," Etienne said. "Really just got back into the gym for the first time and I'm squatting for the first time this past week. So that's been good and I've been running for a while now. I'm kind of getting to that 80% to 85% range." We have higher hopes for the Jags offense with Doug Pederson now in town, but Etienne's role will largely be decided by Robinson's health heading into next season.
