Tommy Pham Interested In Playing First Base
3 years agoFree-agent outfielder Tommy Pham has shown interest in playing first base for this upcoming season. The 33-year-old outfielder mentioned he has interest playing first base for the Tampa Bay Rays, according to Marc Topkin. A team that Pham has played with previously and had plenty of success. Last season, Pham slashed .229/.340/.383 with 15 homers, 49 RBI and 14 stolen bases with the San Diego Padres. It was a down year for the veteran outfielder, but the potential is still there. The fact Pham is willing to offer more versatility should increase his amount of suitors once the lockout ends. Pham should be able to keep himself relevant in fantasy formats, assuming he lands a full-time spot somewhere.
