Fernando Tatis Jr. The Consensus No. 1 Overall Fantasy Pick
3 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. is the consensus No. 1 overall pick in the first round of fantasy drafts in 2022. Shoulder issues limited the superstar to 130 games in his first All-Star season in 2021, but Tatis still managed to hit .282/.364/.611 with a .975 OPS, a league-leading 42 home runs, 97 RBI, 99 runs scored and 25 stolen bases. Just imagine what the 23-year-old could do over a full season's worth of games. Tatis' injury concerns -- he elected not to have surgery in the offseason to address his left shoulder injury -- are really the only knock on him right now. His 28% strikeout rate is higher than most would like, but he makes enough hard contact when he does hit the ball to make up for it. Tatis is elite in pretty much every fantasy category and has the most upside in baseball.
