3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams is set to be a free agent this offseason. The Chargers do have plenty of cap space, assuming they want to keep Williams around. The 27-year-old is coming off the best season of his career. That being said, Williams could end up being paid like a No. 1 wide receiver this offseason. In 2021, he finished with 76 receptions, 1,146 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns in 16 games. There should be plenty of suitors for Williams if the Chargers sign him. Los Angeles could use the franchise tag on Williams, but that would be worth over $19 million for one season. The duo of Williams and Keenan Allen is something that has worked well for the Chargers. It might be tough for Williams to replicate his 2021 season if he becomes the No.1 option for another organization. The fact he's the No. 2 behind Allen likely helps take away some of the pressure from Williams. Regardless, Williams is going to draw plenty of attention this offseason after his 2021 campaign.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
