Mason Rudolph Currently The Team's Starting QB
3 years agoPittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert said that quarterback Mason Rudolph is currently penciled in as the starter. "If we started a season today, Mason would be our starter. He's 5-4-1 as a starter. We're excited to see what's next for Mason," Colbert said. Ben Roethlisberger is retired, but Rudolph could face competition from Dwayne Haskins or another signal-caller through free agency, the draft or a trade. In his three seasons in Pittsburgh, Rudolph has gone 236-for-384 for 2,366 yards (61.5 completion percentage), 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 17 games (10 starts). The 26-year-old only played in two games (one start) in Big Ben's final season. If Rudolph is indeed the Week 1 starter next season, he'll be a low-end QB2 for fantasy purposes.
