Dolphins May Try To Retain Mike Gesicki
3 years agoMiami Dolphins impending free-agent tight end Mike Gesicki set career-highs in catches (73) and receiving yards (780) and was the team's second leading receiver in 2021 behind only rookie wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. Miami will have plenty of salary cap space and could look to put as many offensive weapons around quarterback Tua Tagovailoa as possible this offseason. The franchise tag, which is just under $11 million for tight ends, is a distinct possibility for Gesicki. Of course, that's if new head coach Mike McDaniel thinks Gesicki is a good fit for the offense moving forward. The 26-year-old could be a nice value pick as a low-end TE1 option in 2022 fantasy drafts if he remains with the Dolphins.
