3 years agoThe New Orleans Saints waived kicker Brett Maher on Tuesday. Maher spent eight games with the Saints in 2021, making 16 of his 18 field-goal attempts (88.9%) and 10 of his 12 extra-point tries. New Orleans is moving on from Maher with Wil Lutz (abdomen) set to return in 2022 after missing all of last season due to injury. In 2018 and 2019 with the Dallas Cowboys, Maher made 74.2% of his 66 field-goal attempts and missed just one of his 69 extra-point tries in 29 combined games.
