3 years agoColorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon (lower body) is out of the lineup Wednesday against the host Detroit Red Wings, The Athletic's Peter Baugh reported. Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar told the media MacKinnon is dealing with a lingering injury and that the scratch from tonight's lineup is precautionary. The 26-year-old has logged a point in five straight games and remains one of Colorado's biggest assets. Since it sounds likely MacKinnon will be back in the lineup after a game or two, fantasy managers should keep a close eye on his status.--Chelena Goldman
