Deshaun Watson Could Be Traded With Legal Issues Pending
3 years agoMultiple teams are willing to trade for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson with his legal issues still pending, as long as his criminal situation is resolved, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Watson's lawyer, Rusty Hardin, said that he expects the grand jury to make a decision regarding whether Watson will be charged with any crimes and the level of the charges by April 1. The 22 civil cases of sexual assault won't be decided by then. The Miami Dolphins were interested in Watson at the trade deadline last year, but they insisted that all of Watson's cases were settled before a trade could be finalized. Houston wants at least three first-round picks in exchange for Watson, but it remains to be seen if anyone will pay that price with all of the off-the-field issues surrounding him.
