Dawson Knox Could Have Even Better Year In 2022
3 years agoBuffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox was the team's breakout player last season after being taken in the third round in 2019. He became almost an every-snap player and became quarterback Josh Allen's go-to-option in the red zone. Knox and Allen combined for 11 touchdowns in 17 regular season games. Knox had more routes run, targets, catches, yards, first downs and touchdowns than in his previous two seasons combined. His touchdown total probably isn't sustainable, but more big things could be in store in 2022. Travis Kelce had way more chances than Knox, but their air yards per target, reception rate, yards-after-catch average and yards per catch were strikingly similar. If Knox's role grows more next season, he could land in the upper tier of fantasy tight ends.
