Yankees Reached Out To Carlos Correa
3 years agoThe New York Yankees reached out to free-agent shortstop Carlos Correa before the lockout in early December. The likelihood of the Yankees signing Correa is unknown since it seemed like Corey Seager was higher on their wish list. Correa is also seeking more money than Seager, who received $325 million from the Texas Rangers. Other potential fits for Correa include the Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Angels, Houston Astros, Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Tigers, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Red Sox, although Correa might not be a great fit in Boston. Correa switched to agent Scott Boras in January, which could complicate any potential deal with the Yankees.
