3 years agoFree-agent starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi is likely to have multiple suitors this offseason. However, it appears the New York Mets have strong interest in the veteran left-handed starter. In 29 starts, Kikuchi registered a 4.41 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 162/62 K/BB ratio over 157 innings with the Seattle Mariners in 2021. Those stats don't look great on paper, but it was enough to make Kikuchi a first time All-Star last season. Although, his 2021 campaign was much better than his first two seasons in Seattle. At best, Kikuchi is a back-end starting pitcher in most rotations, including New York.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
