3 years agoSunday was a productive day of talks between Major League Baseball and the Players Association, according to a league source. They will meet again on Monday to keep pushing for an agreement before the end of the day to avoid the cancellation of regular season games in 2022. Despite the fact that Sunday was more productive than Saturday, when the players were outraged by the league's reaction to their latest proposal, the sides are still apart on almost every issue and haven't agreed completely on any one issue yet. MLB Network's Jon Heyman reported that one person involved said he believes the sides are now "within striking distance" and a deal could be completed by Monday night. Most on the players side sounded cautious in their assessment of Sunday's talks. Stay tuned.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
