3 years agoDallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones gave a ringing endorsement for running back Ezekiel Elliott on Monday. "I want Zeke on my team," Jones said. "He's a damn good running back, and I think he's going to help us win this year. Obviously, his contract, his money is guaranteed. He's going to be here, no question." The seventh-year running back's $12.5 million salary in 2022 is fully guaranteed, so cutting him would create over $30 million in dead money. The 26-year-old played through a knee injury last year that really slowed him down, but even when he was healthy, backup Tony Pollard looked just as good, if not better.
