Broncos Would Like To Have Melvin Gordon III Back
3 years agoDenver Broncos general manager George Paton said that he'd like to have impending free-agent running back Melvin Gordon III back in 2022. "I've had really good discussions with Melvin. I'd like to have him back," Paton said. That's not what Javonte Williams' fantasy managers in dynasty/keeper leagues want to hear, but it doesn't mean that Denver will actually bring Gordon back for another year. The 28-year-old basically shared the backfield evenly with the impressive rookie in 2021, and Gordon finished with 918 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 203 carries. He added 28 receptions for an extra 213 yards and two TDs through the air. If Gordon did return to the Broncos, we'd expect another one-two backfield punch, but perhaps this time with Gordon as the 1B instead of 1A.
