Packers Not Receiving Trade Offers On Aaron Rodgers
3 years agoGreen Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said he's not getting trade offers from other general managers on quarterback Aaron Rodgers at this week's NFL scouting combine. Rodgers has yet to inform the Packers of his decision on whether he wants to play in 2022, so perhaps other teams are waiting to put in their trade offers until they know if Rodgers will play next season. The 38-year-old is expected to have a decision before the new league year begins on March 16. If Rodgers doesn't play in Green Bay next year, the team would get between $19.3 million and $26.9 million in salary cap savings, depending on the timing of the decision. If Rodgers returns, he would count $46.1 million against the cap, but that would be lowered by an extension.
