3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch said the team is loving the development of quarterback Trey Lance, which is why the Niners are still intent on trading Jimmy Garoppolo despite a recent shoulder surgery. Despite Lance making only two starts in his rookie season, Lynch thought he had an outstanding first year in the NFL. "He's everything we thought he was when we traded a lot to go get him," Lynch said. The 21-year-old looked a little shaky in the six games he played in 2021, but his arm strength is off the charts, and he can also make big plays with his legs, if needed.
