Lamar Jackson, Ravens Hopeful Of Reaching Extension
3 years agoBaltimore Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said he spoke with quarterback Lamar Jackson "fairly recently" about a contract extension, and the two sides are hopeful something can get done this offseason. The Ravens will continue to work under Jackson's urgency as he represents himself in negotiations. The 25-year-old had a down 2021 season due to a late-season ankle injury that required surgery. But he's resumed working out with teammates and remains one of the most electric dual-threat QBs in the league when he's healthy. Jackson will stay in Baltimore, and he and his teammates are hungry to return to the postseason after a disappointing finish last year. With or without an extension in 2022, Jackson will be a high-end QB1 target in fantasy drafts.
