Seahawks Hoping To Re-Sign Rashaad Penny
3 years agoSeattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has gushed about impending free-agent running back Rashaad Penny's breakout season in 2021. "His confidence just soared. Hopefully we can get him back," Carroll said. Penny also wants to remain in Seattle after the team took him in the first round back in 2018 out of San Diego State. The 26-year-old showed his potential last year by being the most explosive running back in the league to close out the season, but injuries have mostly defined his four seasons in Seattle. Penny finished with 119 carries for a career-high 749 yards (6.3 yards per carry) and six touchdowns in only 10 games in 2021. His injury history makes it more likely that he'll return to Seattle, but his fantasy upside could be capped if Chris Carson returns healthy as the team's lead back.
