NASCAR Truck Series: DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks for Las Vegas Victoria's Voice Foundation 200 (3/4/22)

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is back after taking last week off. And Todd Bodine is back, for some reason! The veteran driver returns to the Truck Series after a long, long time off.

Zane Smith leads the point standings after winning Daytona, with Ben Rhodes trailing him by two points. Some title contenders need a good result here, as Matt Crafton and Grant Enfinger are both below 20th in points.

Here at RotoBaller, we want to help you make informed decisions about your DFS lineups, which is why I'll be breaking down the slates for the Truck Series. Let's look at some NASCAR Truck Series DFS lineup picks for the Victoria's Voice Foundation 200 on DraftKings. Be sure to also check out our NASCAR Premium Tools for Truck Series including our DFS Lineup Optimizer and powerful Research Station.

Post-Qualifying Update

Check back here after qualifying to potentially see some updates on this slate.

How The Top-Priced Drivers Have Done At Daytona

Four drivers are priced at $10,000 or more:

Kyle Busch ($15,000): What is there to say about Kyle Busch in a Truck Series race. If he qualifies up front, he'll probably lead 134 of the 134 laps and post 120 fastest laps or something absurd like that. If he qualifies farther back, he'll drive up to the lead and then lead the rest of the race from there.

I think there's always room to go contrarian and hope Busch has an issue, but over the past four years, Busch has run four Truck races here and has three wins and a second. He led 100-plus laps in two of those.

John Hunter Nemechek ($12,000): Nemechek ked 94 laps and beat Kyle Busch here last year, then led 33 laps in the second race here before having trouble and finishing 33rd. Nemechek is $3,000 cheaper than Busch but has the same kind of upside.

Ben Rhodes ($10,500): In 10 Truck Series starts here, Rhodes has seven top 10s, which includes four top fives and a 2017 win here. Of course, in the eight races since that win, he's led a total of 10 laps here, so this is far from a safe play and will depend a lot on qualifying. I wouldn't play him from a top five starting spot.

Zane Smith ($10,200): Sure, Smith leads the points, but he's never finished better than sixth at this track and has never led a lap. Smith is being priced up because of his performance last week, which really worries me.

Mid-Price NASCAR DFS Options

Stewart Friesen ($8,200) has six top 10s in 10 starts here, including four in a row. We don't traditionally think of Friesen as an intermediate track guy, but this is an intermediate track that really fits him.

Ryan Preece ($9,400) has started two Truck Series races in his career. He won at Nashville and was ninth at Pocono. I think if there's someone who can shock the two KBM trucks, it might be Preece.

Matt DiBenedetto ($8,900) is already being priced down, which is good since this truck isn't the best. But Timothy Peters drove this truck to a 16th here last Spring. If DiBenedetto's truck doesn't show speed in qualifying, I'll play him, as a I think he's someone who can take care of this truck and get some solid place differential points.

Colby Howard ($7,100) feels like good value. Derek Kraus drove a McAnally truck to a 12th here in September. Howard crashed out at Daytona, but did lead nine laps. He drove underfunded Xfinity cars to a 20th and a 21st in two races at Vegas — what can he do in a vehicle with some speed?

Potential NASCAR DFS Sleeper Picks

Let's look at some potential plays for under $7,000.

Chase Purdy ($6,700) is in a solid Hattori truck this year. His average finish at this track is only 21.0, but he was 13th here last year. Someone to target if he starts 20th or worse.

Hailee Deegan ($6,500) is also in that "play her if she starts outside the top 20" group. She struggled here last year, but these intermediate tracks were slightly better for her than other tracks last year.

Austin Wayne Self ($5,900) finished in the top 10 in the most recent Vegas race.

Then there's a couple of Niece trucks. Lawless Alan ($5,200) and Dean Thompson ($4,600) didn't have great weeks at Daytona. But Niece has shown decent speed in the past and last time we were here, Ryan Truex took one of these trucks to a top 10. Both guys scare me due to a lack of experience, but the upside is higher than it is for other drivers in this range.
