Michael Gallup Wants To Re-Sign
3 years agoThe belief is that Dallas Cowboys impending free-agent wide receiver Michael Gallup wants to re-sign with the team this offseason. It makes even more sense for the Cowboys to bring Gallup back now that they are likely to release Amari Cooper before the start of the 2022 league year. Gallup had surgery on Feb. 10 to fix a torn ACL in his left knee, but the Cowboys are optimistic that he will be ready to go for Week 1 of the regular season. The 26-year-old will become an unrestricted free agent on March 16. Gallup played in only nine games in 2021 because of his injury, and he caught 35 of his 62 targets for 445 yards and two touchdowns. His fantasy value would surely rise if he returns to the Cowboys and serves as the No. 2 receiver with Cooper no longer in town.
