Cowboys Will Try To Trade Amari Cooper
3 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys are expected to part ways with wide receiver Amari Cooper and they've had trade discussions with receiver-needy teams. It's not a given that they'll be able to deal him, and if they can't, they're expected to release him and keep impending free-agent receivers Michael Gallup and Cedrick Wilson. If the Cowboys cut Cooper, he'd only count $6 million against the 2022 salary cap as opposed to $22 million. After two straight 1,000-yard seasons in 2019 and 2020, Cooper caught 68 passes for 865 yards and eight touchdowns on 104 targets in 15 regular season games. His 2022 fantasy value will depend entirely on where he winds up, but his departure will surely make CeeDee Lamb a highly coveted fantasy receiver as the team's No. 1 option.
