Bills Give Cole Beasley Permission To Seek Trade
3 years agoThe Buffalo Bills have given wide receiver Cole Beasley permission to seek a trade, although general manager Brandon Beane said on Thursday that the Bills would welcome him back and "no door has been closed." Beasley is 32 years old, but teams do have interest in the veteran pass-catcher, and he's posted a career-high 82 catches in back-to-back seasons. Beasley is due $4.9 million in base salary in 2022 with no money guaranteed, and he'd likely want a new contract if he returns for the upcoming season. He was a controversial topic last season over his decision not to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Despite matching his career-high with 82 receptions, Beasley had only 693 receiving yards and one touchdown, although a late-season injury likely played a part.
