3 years agoThe Major League Baseball players union is working on a response to the league's last proposal, according to sources. No further meetings are scheduled, but they are expected soon after small contingents from each side briefly met in New York on Thursday. Commissioner Rob Manfred already canceled the first two series of the regular season, and if a new collective bargaining agreement isn't hammered out soon, more regular season games are likely to be canceled. On the bright side, ESPN's Buster Olney reported that the players are open to revisiting a 14-team postseason if the league makes other sacrifices, including the competitive balance tax.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
