Raiders, Maxx Crosby Have Begun Contract Talks
3 years agoThe Las Vegas Raiders and defensive end Maxx Crosby have begun contract extension talks and they are going very well, according to league sources. There is a very good chance that Crosby will get a new deal done before quarterback Derek Carr, and the Raiders are working to make Crosby one of the highest-paid defensive players in the league. The 24-year-old is entering the final year of his deal after a Pro Bowl season in which he registered eight sacks, 30 QB hits and 13 tackles for loss. He also led the league with 92 QB pressures, which was well ahead the Rams' Aaron Donald (77). Crosby has not missed a game and has 25 sacks since he was taken in the fourth round in 2019. A salary north of $20 million per year for Crosby seems like a good starting point.
