Kalon Barnes Runs Second-Fastest 40-Yard Dash
3 years agoBaylor cornerback Kalon Barnes and Texas-San Antonio cornerback Tariq Woolen ran two of the fastest 40-yard dash times in NFL combine history on Sunday. Barnes clocked an official 4.23-second time, which was the fastest ever for a defensive back and the second-fastest time to receiver John Ross' 4.22-second 40-yard dash in 2017. Woolen ran an official 4.26-second 40 for the fourth-fastest 40 in the combine's history, and he did it as one of the biggest cornerbacks in any draft at 6-foot-4, 205 pounds. Cincinnati cornerback Sauce Gardner had one of the best all-around days at the position, running a 4.41-second 40 while handling position drills with precision and ease. Gardner entered the combine as ESPN's top-ranked corner prospect.
