3 years agoColorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar scored two goals and contributed an additional assist in Monday's 5-4 victory against the Islanders. The 23-year-old defenseman scored his first goal of the game on the power-play in the opening period, while his second of the contest came at even-strength in the final frame to extend the Avalanche lead to three goals at the time. Makar has posted phenomenal numbers in his third season and he is the currently the best defenseman in fantasy hockey, with totals of 20 goals, 43 assists, 63 points and a plus-37 rating through 53 games.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
