Broncos Agree In Principle On Trade For Russell Wilson
3 years agoThe Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks have agreed in principle on a trade that will send nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson to the Broncos in a massive deal, including multiple first-round draft picks and additional picks and players, according to sources. After the Broncos struck out on a trade for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers -- he signed a four-year, $200 million extension Tuesday -- Denver quickly turned their attention to Wilson. The 33-year-old signal-caller will no longer have D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett to throw to, but he'll now inherit a Denver offense that includes talented receivers Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick, not to mention impressive young running back Javonte Williams. Wilson's arrival immediately boosts the entire Broncos offense and will make them a Super Bowl contender in 2022.
