3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder) underwent successful shoulder surgery on Tuesday, according to sources. The plan and hope is that Garappolo resumes throwing well ahead of training camp this summer. The surgery addressed a capsule issue in his right shoulder, with general manager John Lynch calling the procedure more of a minor surgery. Garoppolo also dealt with a finger issue in 2021 that required surgery, but his injuries aren't expected to keep the Niners from trading him this offseason. Interested teams will surely be keeping tabs on his rehab, and the 30-year-old's fantasy value next season will depend entirely on where he winds up.
