Yankees Looking At Carlos Rodon
3 years agoThe New York Yankees requested/received medicals for free-agent left-hander Carlos Rodon before MLB's lockout began in early December. Rodon should have plenty of interest around the league once the lockout is lifted, possibly as early as Wednesday, after sporting a 2.37 ERA and 0.96 WHIP while striking out 185 and walking 36 in 132 2/3 innings over 24 starts for the Chicago White Sox in 2021. The 29-year-old southpaw has had trouble staying healthy in the past -- he had a career-high 165 innings back in 2016 -- and also had control issues as well, but if he pitches like he did last year, Rodon could be extremely valuable once again in fantasy. Pitching in the Bronx and the tough American League East has its obvious drawbacks, though.
