3 years agoMajor League Baseball announced on Wednesday that games have been canceled through April 13 after the league and players were unable to agree on a new collective bargaining agreement. Almost no progress was made in negotiations on Wednesday, although the players union moved slightly on the luxury tax -- the two sides are now $12 million apart in Year 5 -- and the bonus pool. However, they are still far apart on key issues. We're starting to sound like a broken record, which is a very bad thing for fans of the sport everywhere. The implementation of an international draft has been the latest sticking point in what has been an ugly fight every step of the way. It's unclear when the two sides plan to meet again.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
