Giants, Sterling Shepard Agree On Restructured Contract
3 years agoThe New York Giants and wide receiver Sterling Shepard agreed on a restructured deal on Thursday, according to sources. Shepard, the longest-tenured player on the team, will return for a seventh season. The Giants wanted him to take a pay cut after he suffered an Achilles injury midway through the 2021 season. Shepard has been rehabbing his Achilles at the team's facility and has a target of being ready for the start of training camp this summer. The 29-year-old had 36 receptions for 366 yards and one touchdown in his seven games last season, but he could be a low-cost bounce-back candidate late in fantasy drafts if he proves he's back to full health in training camp.
