49ers Sign JaMycal Hasty, Nate Sudfeld
3 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers signed running back JaMycal Hasty and quarterback Nate Sudfeld on Thursday. San Fran also inked defensive lineman Kevin Givens, defensive lineman Maurice Hurst and offensive lineman Colton McKivitz to one-year deals. Sudfeld received a one-year, fully guaranteed $2 million deal with upside to get it to $3 million. Some people believe Sudfeld has the potential to be a starter in the NFL, but he'll likely be serving as Trey Lance's backup in 2022, assuming the Niners trade Jimmy Garoppolo. Hasty, 25, had 68 rushing yards and a touchdown on 16 carries while adding 23 catches for 157 yards in 11 games last season. Even if the 49ers don't re-sign Raheem Mostert this offseason, Hasty will be competing for backup carries behind Elijah Mitchell in 2022.
