ANALYSIS: I tweeted it yesterday to remind people about it, just in case: folks out there disrespected A.J. Green too much, too soon. This guy is still a star in the NFL, and the bad season he had last year gives me the impression to have caused most fantasy GMs to just bury Green for good while forgetting about him. Turns out playing for a real quarterback in a good team makes one look better, am I right?
Green has seen exactly six targets in each and every one of the games he's played this season. He's improved his catching on a weekly basis going from 2 to 3, and lastly 5 (on back-to-back weeks) receptions. When Green has not scored a touchdown in the past three weeks, he made up for that with a fantastic 112 receiving yards facing the Jaguars in Week 3, and the only game in which he put up a dud was back in W1 when he finished 6-2-25 for a measly 4.5 PPR points.
In the past three weeks including this Sunday's game, Green has averaged a more than good 15.8 FPPG, is 13-of-18 at catching targets, and is putting up 74 yards per game to go with two combined TDs in those three outings. Green comes off his best game of the year (17.7 PPR points with a 6-5-67 line and a touchdown), has the second-most targets among Cards (just one shy of DeAndre Hopkins' 25), and leads the team in receiving yards with 248. Not to mention, once more, that he has the upcoming MVP throwing him the ball. I won't go the distance to advise rostering/starting Green in every single league out there, but he should be a clear target for those in leagues featuring 12 or more teams.
