BALLER MOVE: Add in AL-Only Leagues, Deep Mixed Leagues
ANALYSIS: Adam Eaton was a highly-regarded prospect with the Diamondbacks before being shipped to Chicago in a three-team deal in December. He has been praised for his scrappy, relentless playing style, at the plate, in the field and on the base-paths. In his last full season in the minors, in 2012, he hit .375/.456/.523 with 44 stolen bases and 130 runs scored. He has, for good reason, been in the majors for most of the time since, and is now once again part of our sleepers list to consider off the waiver wire. This season, after a 5-for-44 slump in late May and early June, Eaton has really locked in as a hitter in the leadoff hole. In his last 70 at-bats, he has posted 26 hits and drawn 10 walks, which equates to a .371/.450/.557 triple slash line. While he may not be running like many thought he would, with only seven stolen bases on the year, that number, along with his number of runs scored, should increase exponentially as he continues to get on base. He has really become an impact player at the top of the lineup for the South Siders. Spanky, as he is often called, is not the most productive fantasy player in baseball, but he is a reliable outfield option to provide you with hits, stolen bases and runs in AL-Only leagues and deep mixed leagues.
