BALLER MOVE: Add in 12 team leagues for steals
ANALYSIS: I had Adam Eaton pegged to be a breakout this season after making his way from the Dbacks to the ChiSox. Unfortunately, very early in the season Eaton hurt his hamstring and had to spend 15 days on the disabled list. However, Eaton has still managed to put up very serviceable numbers with a .284 AVG, 1 HR, 27 RBIs, 44 runs, and 10 SBs on the year. Since the start of July, Eaton has hit for a .310 BA, scored 7 runs, knocked in 5, and stolen 3 bases while being caught once. Why is this significant? Because the middle finger on his right hand has been broken since the July 8th-10th series that he played against Boston. He's had to compensate for breaking his finger by changing his swing a bit, and since that series he is hitting above .500 with a couple steals.
Eaton isn't a guy who is going to get you a lot of RBIs or hit for a ton of power, but he does have some sleeper speed if you are in need of steals or runs scored. His average may come down a bit because his BABIP is well above career norms, however, his speed means he should be able to sustain the high BABIP since he can beat out infield hits. The man referred to as "Dirtbag" by his general manager can eat a lot of dirt as he slides into yet another stolen base for your team. Pick him up as a 4th outfielder in 12 team leagues or deeper while he's rolling.
