Adam Jones was out of the lineup again on Tuesday for the Baltimore Orioles against the Washington Nationals.
Jones was not going to start on Monday but the game was postponed. This is bad news for fantasy users as one of the best outfielders in MLB will miss his second straight game with back spasms. The Orioles are seven games back for the second AL Wild Card Spot with 13 games to go and four teams to pass. Baltimore will take it slow with its best player, which isn’t good for his fantasy owners.

The five-time All-Star and four-time Gold Glover has a .268 BA with 27 HR and 82 RBI this season. Throughout his 10-year career, he owns a career .278 BA 26 HR and 86 RBI over 162 games. He’s been one of the more consistant fantasy players over the last seven years.
Junior Lake got the start in center field in place of Jones. He hasn’t had an opportunity to play much but if Jones remains unhealthy, this could be Lake’s chance to prove he belongs at this level.
