BALLER MOVE: Add in Very Deep Leagues / NL-Only Leagues
ANALYSIS: Adeiny Hechavarria is not great at any one thing. That being said, the Marlins shortstop has posted decent numbers across the board this season, but nothing totally astounding. With post-break injuries and slowing production coming from several utility players and players in the shortstop position, Hechavarria is on the deep-league sleepers radar and not a bad pick up in 14 team mixed leagues (or deeper) with a middle infield slot. In 98 games played this season, he has racked up 36 R on 101 H for 22 RBI over the course of 366 AB. Not the most impressive stat line in the world, I know, but it’s better than some guys that you can find on the DL at this part of the season (here’s looking at you, Nick Punto). Some even less glamorous stats from Hechavarria include his abysmal zero homers and only seven steals on the year. Do not let these numbers discourage you though. If you need some supplemental points, the right hander may be a good fit for your line up. In his last four starts, he has hit in three of them, all of them being multi-hit games. His .278|.305|.350 slash line is actually pretty impressive for having no HR on the year. ESPN.com has him listed at only 5% owned, so he should be picked up if you need a guy to put some points on the board as we get later into the season in the deepest of leagues.
