ANALYSIS: Adonis Garcia made his Major League debut at the age of 30 last year and managed 10 HR in 191 AB. As the cleanup hitter in Atlanta, he is tasked with providing support for Freddie Freeman. So far, Garcia is picking up the slack for a struggling Freeman. After two weeks of action, Garcia was hitting .316 with one homer and five runs batted in. If Freeman gets going and the Braves can find a decent hitter in the #2 hole, the RBIs should increase. Despite being hit on the knee Tuesday, Garcia still made a plate appearance Wednesday and will not miss any time. Garcia is not a must-start, but he is gaining value in deep mixed leagues and can serve as a CI option or fourth outfielder.
