With Miguel Cabrera hobbling and Prince Fielder slumping, the Tigers have discovered their newest offensive weapon. His .325 BA since the start of his recent hot-streak may be a bit flukey, but he still makes for a nice temporary option - especially if you're still looking for a Yadier Molina replacement off the waiver wire. Avila can be a HR and RBI boast when playing well, but statistically, he shouldn't be relied upon for much else.
