It doesn't look like Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery will be ready to return in Week 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs. His hamstring injury must have flared up because he was held out of practice completely on Friday. This comes after Jeffery was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday and Thursday. The injury has kept him out of action since Week 1.
This has been a disappointing season thus far for Jeffery's fantasy football owners. The only Chicago Bears players worth starting against the Chiefs are running back Matt Forte and tight end Martellus Bennett.
Quarterback Jay Cutler is fully expected to play on Sunday, but he isn't a recommended fantasy start without Jeffery to throw to. If you need a quarterback, go with Blake Bortles (vs. Bucs) or Nick Foles (vs. Packers). If you need a replacement for Jeffery, look to add Saints slot receiver Willie Snead or Redskins speedster Jamison Crowder.
