Amed Rosario (SS, NYM) - Week 25 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 34% of leagues

ANALYSIS: New York Mets shortstop Amed Rosario has shown why the Mets hold him in such high regard, posting a .277 batting average and 12 stolen bases since the All-Star break. While he has been caught stealing five times, and only has a .312 OBP, Rosario has shown that he is a good addition for speed and average. Since the beginning of September, Rosario is hitting .340 with seven extra-base hits.

Rosario has scored 37 runs in the second half, with 10 of those runs coming since the beginning of the month. Mainly atop the Mets lineup, Rosario has posted back-to-back multi-hit games and has a hit in three of the last four as well. He has scored a run in each of those three games and also has just one hitless game this month (minimum of two plate appearances).

While fantasy owners will hope for more plate discipline from Rosario, he is a cheap source of speed and run scoring at the top of the Mets lineup. Considering that he has added a bit of power to his profile as well, Rosario is a good addition in deeper leagues.
