BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 49% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Andrelton Simmons finally got his bat rolling last season and the result was a 4.9 WAR, making him the 20th-best position player in the league (higher than Gary Sanchez, Marcell Ozuna, and George Springer, notably). To the surprise of no one, he’s carried last year’s offensive success into 2018.
Hitting .417 through six games, Simmons is just adding more to his case for being one of the thirty best players in the game. There’s nothing out of the ordinary here, and you should expect at least a .280 BA for the rest of the season and 75-85 runs. He’ll chip in an occasional stolen base, to boot. Simmons was a fantastic player prior to honing his batting skills, but this is clearly a case of a player adding a needed dimension to his game. The sample size is legitimate and big enough. He's been hitting well for over a year.
If he’s still available in one of your leagues, stop what you’re doing and add him immediately.
