Andrew Miller: A Triple Threat RP

Yankees manager Joe Girardi has already made it clear that ninth inning duties belong to Aroldis Chapman. However, that doesn't mean Andrew Miller won't get his fair share of save opportunities. As is the case for Dellin Betances, Miller will not be as overworked this year. On the nights all three relievers' appearance are not required, Girardi will likely play a game of musical-chairs with his murder's row bullpen, as he's often inclined to give his players a ton of rest, throughout the season.

In 2015, Miller posted 36 saves, a 2.00 ERA and 100 strikeouts in 61.2 innings pitched. Miller saved only one other game in the ten seasons prior to his first year with the Yankees. Miller could fall back into the set-up man role that he performed successfully for the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles, which increases his fantasy value even more as a guy who could pick up both saves and holds consistently. Miller has also made his money via the strikeout and will likely once again breach the century mark in that category. Our experts have him ranked either third or fourth among relievers, and should be considered as soon as closers start flying off the draft-board.
