ANALYSIS: Andy Dalton is usually a polarizing fantasy option. He often gets buoyed by his big games, but can put up some big time stinkers. It's a new season though, and his Week 1 performance was very strong against the Raiders. Dalton completed 25 of his 34 pass attempts and tossed two touchdowns.
Tyler Eifert has emerged as a nice complementary target now that he's healthy and should be a nice security blanket for Dalton. Not that A.J. Green isn't, it's just that everyone knows to pay a lot of attention to Green.
Because of this, Jeremy Hill, Mohamed Sanu, and Eifert will see softer coverage. I expect Dalton to have a very solid campaign as a result, especially if he cuts down on the turnovers. If you're looking for a backup QB, or aren't loving your current QB situation, grab Dalton off the waiver wire if he's still available.
