ANALYSIS: Sanchez is not a #2 starter these days, but it's certainly too early for fantasy owners to write him off completely. Last year was admittedly rough as he barely managed to keep his ERA below five (4.99). However, keep in mind that between 2009-2014 Sanchez posted an ERA below 4.00 every year. The main problem is that he surrendered a whopping 29 HR and saw his 1.66 HR/9 rate double from his career rate of 0.83. If Sanchez keeps more fly balls in the yard, his ratios could regress to the mean, which makes for a quality fantasy starter. His last start against Houston saw two long balls leave the yard, but in each of his first two starts he only allowed two runs on four hits. Don't expect eye-popping numbers, but Sanchez definitely belongs in fantasy rotations.
